Welcome to the Guildford City Cricket Club Colts section.

Our colts membership has grown rapidly over the last 6 years.They meet for training on Thursday's (U15-U17, 6 - 8 pm)and Sundays (U13's, 10 - 12 am) at the Indoor Cricket Centre,George Abbott School, Burpham and are coached by a high number of qualified coaches.This success has lead to Surrey County Cricket Club to form a partnership with ourselves to help promote and encourage cricket with children from ages 7yrs-17yrs.

Surrey provide the indoor school and we supply the coaches and administration.We have contacted many schools who have little or no cricket at all, to invite pupils to come to training day and have several free sessions to see if they like cricket and then they can join Guildford City C C Colts and continue with coaching every week and take part in West Surrey League Games and other competitions.This has proved very successfull and over 65 youngsters have played in games each year.

We are able to offer quality coaching in small groups with all the facilities of the indoor cricket school.Training can be outside in fine weather or inside when it rains, so it never has to be cancelled. The 'Wey Valley Development' and Sunday Surrey Trust League play a lot of youngster's(colts) to give them their first games in adult teams..There is a team in the 1st division of the indoor 6-a-side league, and also U11's, U13's, U15's and U17's sides in junior leagues.

If you are new to the sport or would like to improve your skills ,please come along to the centre on Friday's or Sundays and you would be made very welcome.
